Dr. Carothers is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has practiced family medicine for the past 17 years. He is a native Houstonian and completed his undergraduate education at Texas Southern University and his medical education at The University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Carothers did his residency training in Beaumont, Texas at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Following his residency training, he served his country in the United States Navy caring for our servicemen and their family members at an oversees duty station in Okinawa, Japan. Dr. Carothers is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association. His hobbies include fishing, golf and wood work.
